The Chill Cap Helmet Cooling System – Ice-Water Head Cooler for Motorcycle Helmets
Your helmet traps heat. The Chill Cap moves it out.
- ACTIVE ICE-WATER COOLING UNDER YOUR HELMET: A thin, flexible cooling membrane sits between your head and your helmet liner. A pump in the insulated backpack circulates ice water from its 3.7-liter reservoir through it continuously, carrying heat away from your scalp while you ride. In our testing one ice fill gives about 4 hours of cooling; hotter days mean shorter runs. Add fresh ice to keep going.
- TWO-STAGE PUMP WITH WIRELESS REMOTE: At start-up a self-priming pump clears air from the lines, then a quiet centrifugal pump takes over for steady, continuous flow. Turn it on and off with the included wireless remote, so there is no reaching behind you on the road or trail. Food-grade silicone tubing runs from the pack to the membrane.
- RECHARGEABLE BATTERY OUTLASTS THE ICE: The 11.1V lithium-ion battery runs the pump for 7+ hours per charge, longer than an ice fill lasts, so the battery is not what ends your ride. Charge it with the included 110V wall charger or USB-C cable. The pump unit is splash-resistant; do not submerge it.
- TWO MEMBRANE SIZES, CHECK YOUR FIT: Standard (5.25 in wide) or Brain Freeze (7 in wide), both 15 in long. Pick Standard for most riders, or Brain Freeze for larger heads and maximum cooling coverage. Designed and tested for motorcycle helmets. Your helmet must still sit snug and secure with the membrane in place. If it does not, do not ride with it. Never cut or modify your helmet to fit.
- BUILT BY A RIDER, PATENT PENDING: Designed in Northwest Arkansas by a rider who was tired of cutting summer rides short. The Chill Cap is patent pending. In the box: cooling membrane, insulated backpack with reservoir and drink tube, pump unit with rechargeable battery, wireless remote, tubing, 110V wall charger and USB-C cable. Backed by a 6-month warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
On a hot day your helmet works like an insulated box on your head. The Chill Cap pumps ice water through a thin membrane under your helmet, pulling heat away from your scalp so you can stay out longer. The same reservoir feeds a drink tube, so you can stay hydrated without stopping.
How it works
1. Fill the reservoir in the insulated backpack with ice and water.
2. Place the cooling membrane under your helmet and put the pack on.
3. Press ON on the wireless remote. A self-priming pump clears the lines, then a quiet centrifugal pump keeps the water moving.
4. When the cooling fades (about 4 hours per fill in our testing, less in extreme heat), add fresh ice.
